East Lansing City Council Resignations

The recent resignation of two East Lansing City Councilpersons has shocked me.

Let me assure you, Service and Duty will guide my actions as your commissioner.

If a vote does not go my way, I will not stop working to bend county governance toward providing compassionate service.

I will continue to openly share my reasoning and to listen to the reasoning of others.

I made a choice many years ago to work for change within the system, because I believe ‘…history bends toward justice. …’ that peace and the lack of fear make possible the best outcomes.

Service – An act of being of assistance to someone

Duty – That which one is morally or legally obligated
